I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist who would be honored to be part of your journey in identifying unhelpful self-talk leading to patterns that are keeping you from reaching your full potential.
In therapy, I take into consideration our relationship first, helping to provide a warm and inviting space so you can feel comfortable opening up about your story and the challenges you are facing. Since every individual comes with their own unique set of difficulties and a complex history, I take my time to tailor my approach to meet your needs.
I am passionate about providing high quality evidenced-based practices. I draw from cognitive-behavioral approaches, most commonly Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which has shown efficacy for many of the specialties I work with. In our work together, we will focus on changing the perspective from which you view your unwanted thoughts and feelings, rather than simply trying to change or get rid of them. In doing so, you will be more equipped to step back and view them in a way that makes them less threatening, and with more space to decide how to act more effectively in response. Through our work, we will focus on barriers based on old thought patterns that no longer serve you. Once the judgmental relationship with thoughts and feelings changes, you may naturally begin to feel more present and immersed in what truly matters to you, to create a more meaningful life.
I completed my undergraduate degree from University of Central Florida, and my masters and doctoral degrees from Nova Southeastern University. My clinical training and experience have been in an outpatient anxiety treatment center, university counseling center, and nationally recognized treatment centers for eating disorders: Oliver-Pyatt Centers and the Renfrew Center.
